L'Occitane Enjoys Operational Efficiencies and Improved Cash Flow

ATLANTA - October 14, 2008 - Elavon, formerly known as NOVA Information Systems, has completed the rollout of its Electronic Check Service (ECS) solution, utilizing back-office conversion (BOC), at L'Occitane's 166 luxury bath and body product boutiques across the United States. In addition, L'Occitane has also agreed to implement Elavon's electronic gift card (EGC) solution just in time for the holidays for both in-boutique and online environments, offering customers the opportunity to purchase, redeem and reload cards in either environment. L'Occitane also uses Elavon for credit card processing, providing the retailer with one source for all their payment processing, funding and customer service needs.

"Managing all of L'Occitane's payments activity across the U.S. with a single provider maximizes our efficiencies across the board," said Wilfrid Poisnel, Chief Financial Officer at L'Occitane. "The delivery of next-day funding for all types of payment transactions is critical in today's environment, and the opportunity to create new revenue-generating strategies through a fully supported gift card program is a huge asset to us as the holidays approach."

"In today's marketplace, retailers are struggling to stay competitive and run efficiently," said Stuart C. Harvey, Jr., CEO of Elavon. "L'Occitane has always been ahead of the curve in that respect, and we are pleased to continue offering tailored solutions that positively impact their business model."

Elavon's ECS solution provides retailers with a swift ROI while also offering a choice of check imaging methods, including point of purchase (POP), back office conversion (BOC), and accounts receivable conversion (ARC). In addition, Elavon's ECS offers real-time processing that systematically leverages three processing methods including direct Demand Deposit Account (DDA) access, Automated Clearinghouse Processing (ACH), and Check Replacement Document processing (CRD) using traditional banking networks.

More than 40,000 U.S. merchants of all sizes have implemented Elavon's ECS solution, choosing the right mix of processing methods, security and convenience to fit their business. Nationwide, 1,800 merchant locations have implemented its ECS with back-office conversion solution.

The Electronic Gift Card solution from Elavon integrates seamlessly into any operating environment and can be tailored to deliver online and in-store functionality. It also supports online gift card registration by consumers. In addition, EGC from Elavon maximizes gift card sales with a complete package of marketing features to insure that gift cards become a revenue-generating solution.

About L'Occitane:
Since 1976 L'Occitane has drawn inspiration from Mediterranean art de vivre and traditional Provencal techniques to create natural beauty products devoted to well-being and the pleasure of taking care of oneself. Nurtured by encounters and journeys, the brand has grown and developed. While it continues to focus on authentic products, it also chooses to work with committed producers who set rigorous standards. There is a story behind all of our products, most often related to the land of Provence: an ancient technique (essential oils), an AOC controlled-origin label (lavender, olive), a forgotten traditional cultivation (almond) or, as in Burkina Faso, Africa, a sustainable development program (shea butter).
