Pamela A. Joseph
Vice Chairman, U.S. Bancorp Payment Services
Pamela A. Joseph is vice chairman of U.S. Bancorp Payment Services. She’s responsible for managing all Elavon operations, including Global Acquiring Solutions (formerly NOVA Information Systems and euroConex), Elavon Financial Services (U.S. Bancorp’s chartered European financial institution), and Elavon Financial Institution Solutions. She’s also responsible for U.S. Bank Retail Payment Solutions, U.S. Bank Corporate Payment Solutions, and U.S. Bank Transaction Services. She is one of 13 senior executives, who comprise the U.S. Bancorp Managing Committee.
U.S. Bank Retail Payment Solutions and U.S. Bank Corporate Payment Solutions include credit, debit, and small business card issuing, as well as corporate and purchasing card issuing. U.S. Bank is the largest Visa-branded gift card issuer, the sixth-largest debit card provider, and the second-largest purchasing card issuer in the United States. Ms. Joseph also oversees the unbranded ATM processing business, which services more than 30,000 ATMs throughout the United States and is owner of the MoneyPass surcharge-free network.
As the largest payment processor in the United States and the fourth largest in Europe, Elavon’s Global Acquiring Solutions division provides integrated credit and debit card payment processing, electronic check conversion, and other value-added services to more than 850,000 merchants in the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, and throughout Europe.
Other Experience
Ms. Joseph is a 20-year veteran of the financial services industry. Before joining NOVA Information Systems in 1994, she served with Visa International as director over new market development, where she was responsible for VISA acceptance in the supermarket industry. Prior to VISA, she held various positions with Wells Fargo Bank for more than eight years.
Outside of U.S. Bancorp, Ms. Joseph is on the board of directors of Paychex, Inc., a provider of payroll, human resource, and benefits outsourcing solutions. She also sits on the board of directors for Centene Corporation, a healthcare enterprise that provides programs and services to individuals in state Medicaid programs. She’s also chairman of Gift of a Child, an organization that helps foster children find permanent families, and has been involved over the years with Families First, Habitat for Humanity, and United Way.
Education
Ms. Joseph earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Illinois.
She resides in Atlanta with her husband and three children.
Christopher S. Kenyon
Executive Vice President, Systems & Technology
Christopher S. Kenyon manages all aspects of systems and technology at Elavon, including application development, systems operations, and the processing network.
Mr. Kenyon came to Elavon through the acquisition of First Horizon Merchant Services, where he was executive vice president and chief information officer. He was previously vice president of merchant services with First Tennessee Bank, supervising technical support and customer service, as well as new account set-up.
Mr. Kenyon brings 19 years of transaction processing experience to his role, having served in management positions with Nabanco, National Data Corporation, and POS Technologies/Honor.
Mike Passilla
Executive Vice President, Global Business Development
Mike Passilla leads Elavon's global sales channels and manages its alliance bank relationships throughout Europe and North America. He has more than 18 years of sales, marketing, and consulting experience in building winning sales organizations and optimizing marketing relations.
Prior to Elavon, Mr. Passilla was chairman of the board for bConnected, a software company focused on improving the quality and efficiency of health care. He also served as President of North America for Inforte Corporation, a strategic management consulting company, where he was part of the executive team that grew revenue from $5 million to $64 million in four years.
Prior to Inforte, Mr. Passilla spent time at CSC Index, Pepsi, IBM, and the Walt Disney Company. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and earned an MBA from The J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
Elaine T. Baker
Executive Vice President, North American Operations
Elaine T. Baker is responsible for North American operations. Previous responsibilities with Elavon include Vice President of Operations Compliance, operational leadership of U.S. Bank integration, and Senior Director of Chargebacks and Account Establishment. She joined Elavon in 1999 and has 18 years of sales and operations management experience in multiple industries.
Before joining Elavon, Ms. Baker was Director of Marketing for KMPG Healthcare Consulting. She was responsible for developing the go-to-market strategy for the payer, provider, and life sciences segments of the industry. Prior to KPMG, she spent 10 years with IBM in various management positions in systems engineering and sales and marketing. She also served four years with the Tennessee Valley Authority in customer service management.
Ms. Baker holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in chemistry and mathematics from the University of Tennessee. She completed The IBM Presidents’ Class at the Harvard School of Business and holds certification in SAP Finance and Control.
Mindy Doster
Senior Vice President and General Counsel
Mindy Doster oversees the global legal department with attorneys in the U.S., Ireland, and the U.K. The department supports the legal needs of all Elavon business areas including operations, business and corporate development, and systems and technology. Ms. Doster joined Elavon in 1998 as assistant general counsel.
Jamie Walker
Chief Financial Officer, Global Acquiring Solutions
Jamie Walker is chief financial officer of Elavon's Global Acquiring Solutions organization and leads Elavon's global finance organization, which includes, pricing and profitability, accounting and annual operations planning.
An Elavon employee for almost 8 years prior to his promotion, Mr. Walker was the former Senior Vice President of Financial Settlement at Elavon and designed and established the financial organization's global shared services model. In addition, Mr. Walker played a key role in executing European portfolio conversions.
Prior to his tenure with Elavon, Mr. Walker served Ernst & Young's Core Assurance practices as an auditor. He is an Emory University graduate and holds a business administration degree in Accounting and Marketing.
