Elavon Purchases Arklow Building For Call Centre Operations

Co. Wicklow, Ireland - 14 December 2009 - Elavon, a wholly-owned subsidiary of U.S. Bancorp (NYSE: USB), and a leading global card acquirer today announces the purchase of its Arklow business park space, solidifying the company's long-term commitment to the Arklow community.

For eight years, more than 200 Customer Service, Operations and Information Technology professionals have occupied the building, previously through a lease agreement with the IDA. The Arklow Call Centre employees provide customer assistance for many of Elavon's 250,000 pan-European merchants.
